WARRNAMBOOL police officers are preparing a brief of evidence to be assessed after claims that gymnasium-based infidelity led to an alleged assault.
Officers are understood to have interviewed a woman on Wednesday after an allegation was made that a female gym member was assaulted.
The claims are believed to have been supported to a degree by gym security camera footage.
The alleged assault is believed to have happened in the past couple of weeks.
It followed claims that the gym member’s husband had been involved in an affair which led to an incident.
The Standard has received a number of mobile telephone text messages in relation to the allegations which led to inquiries with police.
Police officers have confirmed that a woman has been interviewed and that a brief of evidence was being prepared for assessment by senior officers before any decision is made whether to pursue criminal charges.
