POLICE have charged a Warrnambool woman with the theft of a charity bottle from a city hotel.
The 48-year-old has been bailed to appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates Court in July.
Constable Lisa McRae said the woman admitted to the theft after being spotted by another police officer who recognised her face and car from security camera footage.
The charity bottle, containing about $350, was stolen from Mac’s Hotel in February.
The money was to have been donated to Operation Smile Vietnam, which supports babies needing life-changing surgery to repair cleft lips and palates.
