MERRIVALE defeated Old Collegians 41-24 in this afternoon's Good Friday netball match at Davidson Oval.
The Warriors pushed the Tigers in the first half, with the visitors leading by two goals at the main break before breaking away in the third quarter.
Merrivale coach Danielle McInerney said it took some for her side's recruits to gel.
She nominated shooter Ange Collins as her side's best player while Collegians coach Lisa Arundell was most impressed with young goaler Steph Townsend.
In the football, Merrivale lead the Warriors 5.4 (34) to 4.3 (27) at half-time. Tiger Todd McLean has four goals.
