Mark Hyland won in a sprint to the finish from Clive Coomber and Jon Watson.
The trio all rode with the 13-minute bunch.
Hyland finished the 45-kilometre race in one hour, 18 minutes and 13 seconds.
Melbourne rider Paul Scouller took out fastest-time honours with 1.07.
Portland, Warrnambool, Colac, Geelong and Melbourne cyclists made up the strong 45-rider field.
Competitors were lucky to avoid rain for much of the race but at times the headwinds provided challenging sections on the course.
The 13-minute bunch combined well early, making good time on the limit bunch.
The backmarkers worked hard, averaging over 40km/h across the course.
But at the end of the second lap, the 20-minute bunch had hit the lead with the 13-minute bunch two minutes behind.
With five kilometres to go, the 13-minute and 20-minute bunches combined on the course.
Warrnambool Veterans Cycling Club makes a donation to one of the service groups in Terang each year.
It presented Braze Aid, which is helping with the St Patrick’s Day bushfire recovery efforts, with $250 this time around.
