A WARRNAMBOOL woman in her 20s who bashed another nightclubber in toilets has escaped a conviction but been fined $1200.

Rebecca Hunt, 26, of Ruby Place, Warrnambool, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to recklessly causing injury and being drunk.
On September 22 last year the victim went to the Whalers Hotel to watch a well known musician and stayed at the venue after he finished playing.
After midnight the woman went to the bathroom and there into a cubical.
While leaving the cubical Hunt tried to push her way in.
She was yelling incoherently, pushed the victim and then punched her causing a blood nose.
Hunt then grabbed the victim and headbutted her.
The victim fell down bleeding.
The assault was seen by another woman, who managed to get Hunt away from the victim.
At 1.15am Hunt was arrested by police outside the venue.
She was intoxicated, unsteady on her feet and lodged in the Warrnambool police station cells to sober up.
