Crews from Powercor worked through Sunday night to repair infrastructure that was damaged in the fire.
A spokesperson from Powercor said 1500 homes had been left without power.
“Crews have worked throughout the night and will continue through today to replace poles and rebuild infrastructure damaged by fire,” the spokesperson said.
“Yesterday afternoon, a helicopter flew over some of the affected areas and inspected electricity infrastructure in locations inaccessible on the ground.
“While most customers are expected to be back on supply today, in some areas it may be a number of days before crews are able to safely repair damaged infrastructure and restore power due to access issues and the large number of construction jobs that remain.”
Local crews have received assistance from field teams Powercor has bought in from other parts of the state.
