Warrnambool mother-of-two Angela Jellie was attending a school reunion in Camperdown on Saturday night when she was caught up in multiple fires and evacuations.

“I finally got back to Warrnambool this morning,” she said on Monday. “Just in time to get the school lunches sorted.”
Mrs Jellie said despite the horror and missing her own family, it was comforting to know her mother was okay.
“I was actually glad to be there for mum,” she said. “It was such a surreal and scary experience.”
She paid homage to emergency services in the region.
“Our CFA crews are just amazing and so brave,” she said. “True everyday heroes. I don’t think they will ever get enough credit for what they do.”
