Portland’s Shaun Cooper, 23, will be held in custody until April 9, and his girlfriend Sylae Tate, 22, until April 19.
Police allege the duo stole a red Subaru valued at $20,000 from the Blowholes Road car park at Cape Bridgewater on March 10.
Mr Cooper is a disqualified driver and drove off in the Subaru and he was caught on security camera footage driving in Mount Gambier.
On March 11 Mr Cooper was seen by Hamilton police in Kenna Street, he swerved onto the wrong side of the road and drove off.
Later the same day he was seen in Hamilton again and drove off when police activated their emergency lights.
The couple were also charged with torching the red Subaru in Turners Lane at Digby.
The vehicle was completely destroyed.
Country Fire Authority volunteers responded to that car fire.
One CFA member left his car - a grey Ford Territory - at his Merino business and accidentally left his keys in the vehicle.
Mr Cooper and Ms Tate are alleged to have located the $40,000 vehicle and stole it.
On March 13 police spotted Mr Cooper and Ms Tate in Warrnambool's Caramut Road.
Mr Cooper is alleged to have driven off at 140km/h and a police pursuit last two minutes before being called off due to safety concerns.
They were also allegedly involved in a $80 petrol drive-off in Warrnambool.
Mr Copoper and Ms Tate also went to the Intersport store in Warrnambool and stole clothing valued at $1300.
Ms Tate tried to use a bank card but had insufficient funds and said she would get another card from her car but they drove off without paying.
Last Friday the couple were spotted fleeing from an unregistered blue Holden sedan in Kenna Avenue at Hamilton.
Ms Tate was arrested in a home but Mr Cooper ran into bush and police gave chase on foot.
Mr Cooper soon after surrendered to police.
The stolen Ford territory was recovered at Mount Clay.
Police allege the couple have been using a large amount of drugs during the past week and were a danger to the public.
Mortlake’s Dale Hannabury, 27, was also further remanded until March 28 after making no application for bail.
He was previously charged with offences after confronting an on-duty police officer which led to him being released on strict bail conditions.
It's alleged he approached the same off-duty officer at the weekend therefore breaching his bail and was arrested in dramatic scenes overnight Saturday.
And Grassmere’s Brandan Evans, 23, will also be held in custody until April 3 after making no application for bail.
He has been charged in relation to a domestic dispute involving a knife early Saturday morning.
Monday: FOUR people will appear in Warrnambool court on Monday for bail/remand hearings including a Portland 23-year-old man charged with stealing cars and high-speed police pursuits.
Warrnambool police Sergeant Jason Dance said the Portland man and his 22-year-old woman passenger were arrested on Friday night in Hamilton.
They have been charged in relation to stealing three cars, two of which were torched.
The man was also allegedly involved in a number of police pursuits in a stolen grey Ford Territory.
Overnight Saturday a 27-year-old Mortlake man was arrested after allegedly breaching bail.
He was previously charged with offences after confronting an on-duty police officer which led to him being released on strict bail conditions.
It's alleged he approached the same off-duty officer at the weekend therefore breaching his bail and was arrested in dramatic scenes overnight Saturday.
A 23-year-old Grassmere man was also arrested early Saturday morning after a family violence incident during which he allegedly armed himself with a knife.
He was arrested and was remanded in custody charged with numerous offences including assault, causing damage and drug related matters.
