The festival, which begins on Friday and goes through until Sunday lunchtime, features a line-up of performers who have never played Terang before.
Acts to play at the festival include Troy Kemp, Jason Owen, Ted Egan, The Bakersfield Glee Club, Travellin’ Still, The Weeping Willows, Pete Denahy, Trevor Keilar, Courtney Conway, Danny Stain and Bennett, Bowtell and Urquhart.
Chairman of the festival organising committee Geoff Barby said the line-up has created plenty of excitement.
“It is a really diverse group of performers, we think it’s a really good line-up,” Mr Barby said.
“It is great to be able to bring in all new artists that we haven’t seen in Terang before.
“One of our aims is to keep putting new artists on stage in front of country music fans. We have received really good feedback from acts that perform here, our festival is very well regarded, musicians want to play here.”
The festival, which is held at the Terang Racecourse, begins with a barbecue tea and concert on Friday from 6pm.
The day program begins at 9.30am on Saturday and goes through to 5pm before the entertainment moves inside and goes through to 11pm.
On Sunday, it will be a 9.30am start with the festival winding up at 12.30pm.
Tickets are available at the festival website or at the gate.
OUR FESTIVAL PICKS
Ted Egan is an Australian country music institution, recording his first album in 1973. He performed at the Port Fairy Folk Festival last weekend and proved that at 85, he has lost none of his magic.
Jason Owen shot to fame when he was runner-up in the 2012 installment of The X Factor. He has gone on to record four albums.
A couple of tribute shows will feature at the festival with Courtney Conway honouring Patsy Cline and Pete Denahy doing the same for Slim Dusty.
Troy Kemp brings with him to Terang a Golden Guitar award and multiple number one Australian Music Chart singles.
