Now in its second year, organisers are hoping the Dunkeld Rodeo will draw a new crowd to its family-friendly event.
Continuing to host barrel racing, bucking broncos and bull rides, the Saturday event will now include an alcohol-free area.
Event coordinator Lachy Patterson said they hoped to attract more families this year.
“One of our big focuses this year is on our family zone,” he said. “We’ve increased the number of activities for kids and we’re hoping we’ve created a safe, alcohol-free zone where they can enjoy this year’s event.”
Mr Patterson said the acts would also be impressive.
“We’ve secured competitors from all over Australia for the event,” he said. “And we’re looking forward to seeing what they bring.”
Sturgeon Stampede starts at 5pm on Saturday.
