The five students took part in the annual Student Leaders Congress, which was held for the fifth year.
Each primary and secondary school in Warrnambool City and the Moyne Shire sent leaders from their year five to eight levels to the congress. Each leadership group will go back to develop their own project aimed at improving the health and well-being of their school and community.
Year six student from Hawkesdale P12 College Joe Morrison said the congress had been very beneficial.
“It was pretty good, I learnt a lot,” Joe said. “We will get a project that is fun and helps keep people fit and healthy.”
Guest speakers at the congress were former elite netballer Sarah Wall and Standing Tall youth mentoring program co-ordinator Matt Stewart.
