Beriman, who was formerly based in Warrnambool only took four rides on Thursday and one of those Galileo’s Journey was a winner for her dad local trainer Dennis Beriman in a restricted race.
“It’s been a while since I rode a winner for Dennis and Robyn so it’s great to boot one home,” she said.
“I only took the four rides as I’ve had the Blue Diamond on my mind. I didn’t want anything to go wrong because it’s not every day of the week that you ride in $2 million races like the Blue Diamond.
“Lady Horseowner is a nice filly and is undefeated. I’ve been working really hard and the hard work is starting to pay off.”
Dennis Beriman was the only local trainer that led in a winner.
With the new jumping season due to kick off in March, Warrnambool hosts 11 jumping trials on Friday. Nine hurdle and two steeplechase trials will be run over distances ranging from 2400 to 2800 metres.
