A motorcyclist has been killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Great Ocean Road.

Police said they were called to the scene at Yuulong, east of Princetown, about 3.30pm Thursday afternoon.
The man, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene.
Police said the exact cause of the crash had yet to be determined. They are preparing a report for the coroner.

It follows a serious motorcycle crash on the Great Ocean Road near Port Campbell earlier this month. The rider lost his right arm and the pillion passenger her right leg in that crash between a motorcycle and a mini bus.
That accident prompted renewed calls for additional safety measures along the Great Ocean Road.
