Friday’s course will still cover the 5.92-kilometre distance as its previous additions, because of the record held by Commonwealth Games gold medallist Steve Moneghetti, according to club member John Keane.
“We don’t want to change the course, because of Steve’s record,” he said.
“Hopefully someone can have a crack at trying to beat his time.”
The fun run begins at 6.30pm with the walkers and 6.45pm for runners, with the Lions club expecting over 500 participants to brave the hot weather to participate.
Keane said the recent works around Terang’s RSL Hall would make for a picturesque finish.
“The RSL has updated its grounds and it will enhance how the finish looks, it’s going to be a very beautiful spot for us to finish the run,” he said. “We are looking forward to some strong crowds on Friday night.”
