What has drawn you to Port Fairy? Two fold really, Sarah and the netball gang sound exactly like my cup of tea. They are fiercely competitive on court and super social off court. And I am hoping to find my mum a “farmer wants a second wife” to settle down with for a long happy twilight (she's 59, tall, red-head, nurse).
Where does your name originate from? I was named after the feisty heroine in the TV series Poldark.
Do you have any tattoos? I do, three little stamps all with sentiment and a good yarn to go with them.
In the school yard were you a good Samaritan or a bully? A bit of both. I was soft at heart but would stand up to the bullies so I did find myself in chapel lighting prayer candles for fighting a few times.
Your favourite subject at school? Drama and Japanese. (No talent in either).
Your favourite thing about netball? The training, travel, and friendships.
Favourite dish to cook and eat? I like trying to cook lots of international cuisine but to eat it’s definitely dumplings.
Your dream holiday destination? Greek Islands.
Who is your hero? Roger Federer.
What is your greatest fear? Waking up with a spider on my face.
What is something people might not know about you? I had a fall in the shower a few years ago and nearly died.
What job would you be really bad at? Librarian. Sit still and be quiet. No thanks. Or spider keeper at the zoo. I died at the thought of it.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? A film director like Quentin Tarantino.
What would you sing at a karaoke night? Everything I possibly can.
On the court what rule frustrates you the most? Holding. How can a defender get called for holding with her body (not a grip hold) but an attacker can play a holding game. It’s so stupid.
What book is beside your bed right now? The Bible.
What is your favourite movie of all time? Too many to choose. Ace Ventura, Billy Madison, Beauty and the Beast, The Proposal..
If you could choose to go back 100 years or forward 100 years what would you do and why? Back 100 years. I would want to try to affect some wars and keep greed at bay in the industrial post war boom.
What motto do you live by? Be strong and courageous, stand firm in the faith and do all things with love.
