POLICE are seeking information after a car fire in Portland overnight near the intersection of the Henty Highway and Madeira Packet Road.

Emergency services were alerted at 11.35pm Monday and when police arrived the station wagon was totally engulfed in flames.
Portland Country Fire Authority brigade members put out the fire but the Holden Commodore VP station wagon was completely destroyed.
Police are still looking for the owner of the vehicle.
The cause of the fire is being viewed by police as suspicious at this stage.
