The pair will race at Cobden for the opening round of the six-round series in the KA4 light and heavy classes.
Swayn, who won his maiden go karting race at the Junior Challenge in Geelong in November, is eager to start the season well and is hopeful the other 22 competiting members of the club can too.
“I’m fairly confident coming into this, I’m looking forward to racing with all my fellow Warrnambool club mates,” he said
“I've been getting a little better and I feel I have some good form going into the first round and after getting some good results.
“The club in general is getting a whole lot better and hopefully we can all get a good run and get a few podiums between us.”
Swayn’s club mate Jaxon Johnson is excited to hit the track and build some form before he heads to South Australia.
“I’m excited to race as it is my first junior race (KA4 junior class) in the series,” he said.
“I’ve recently joined Shamick Racing in Melbourne and this is a warm up for the first round of the Australian Karting Series next week in Monarto.
Johnson’s goal for the Australian series is to finish in the top 10. His goal however for the country series is more direct.
“My dad used to race in the series and he has won it twice,” he said.
“I have won it once so far and I want to win again this year and equal my dad.”
Swayn, who is preparing for his fourth Victorian Karting Series, is hopeful a modification of his kart can help him achieve his goal.
“I want to finish top-five in the series,” he said.
“We have changed my chassis for this season to just try and mix it up and I’m fairly confident that we can get some good pace this year.”
