Warrnambool’s Centre Point Arcade has reopened after a fire last year.

Pedestrians can now make their way from the Coles car park to Liebig Street.

The Hut Cafe, a tenant in the arcade, is not yet open.

The Standard was unsuccessful in attempts to contact the cafe owners or management. Works are ongoing to clean up the damage from the fire, which started in the arcade on December 3 last year. The building sustained smoke and water damage.

The fire started opposite the Hut cafe, and was quickly extinguished by the Country Fire Authority, after a pedestrian walking through the arcade noticed the flames and alerted emergency services.

The arcade is also home to wholesale baker Jane Dough, which was not damaged and has remained open during the clean up.
