The first steer sold for $5200 to Midfield Meats, with proceeds going to the Let’s Talk Foundation that aims to promote mental health.
The second steer sold for $3000 to the MC Herd Geelong abattoir, with the money going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The top price of $6000 was paid by John Mahony on behalf of a syndicate with proceeds going to Abbeyfield’s Mortlake and Timboon centres.
The fourth steer sold for $2800 to Ray White Beef Services, with proceeds to the Country Education Foundation - Western District.
The cattle had been donated by producers and agents.
