The Warrnambool driver hopes to back up his South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic crown with an Australian Sprintcar Title across the border in Mount Gambier this weekend.
McCullagh said long-term, he was open to any options that fitted within his budget.
“We’re pretty open to do whatever is easy,” the 28-year-old said.
“We’re not looking too far forward yet, but all of our focus is on the Australian title come Tuesday morning.
“I’m pretty keen to get back racing and hopefully we can just get this car as good as we had it for the classic.”
Two Warrnambool-based drivers – James McFadden and Jamie Veal – both ventured to the United States to race in the Australian winter.
The Australian Sprintcar Titles begin on Thursday.
