“We will be going into Saturday focusing on our bowling,” Serle said.
“We have a pretty big total to defend so we are looking to get the win, however quick that takes us.
“They have a pretty good batting attack, so what ever happens, happens.”
The Roosters are sitting on 6-331 after 66 overs from day one last Saturday, with Serle top-scoring with 101 and Corey McKenzie chipping in 80.
The pair accumulated a 185-run opening partnership to set up the Roosters’ innings.
Serle did not confirm whether Lachlan Morrison (17) and Jacob Lenehan (30) would continue their innings, with 14 overs still to go in Wangoom’s innings.
Serle said that the recent Bendigo country week games would not have an impact on Saturday.
“We had two players up there and so did Grassmere,” he said. “It means it will be pretty even for both sides.”
