Foreman will compete in the VH Commodore class, driving his 1979 Holden VB Commodore.
The Warrnambool resident is thrilled to again be entered in the event.
“It's a pretty exciting event, I haven't had time to think about it until now,” he said.
“It’s the biggest event I've ever entered in and last year they called the event off after one run because there was an accident, so I didn’t get a run.
“Hopefully this year we have a better run at it and hopefully everyone has a safe and uneventful event.”
Foreman believes this is a not-to-be missed event, with The VH class alone featuring 173 entries from across Australia.
“If you're a spectator or driver you couldn't get any better than this,” he said.
“This is one of the biggest drag events in Victoria and It's a really big event for Portland, drag racing and the south-west area, so it’s something to look forward to this weekend.”
Foreman, who has been involved with drag racing for 20 years, says he can’t complain about the sport and the drama it provides.
“Anything can happen,” he said. “You take the highs and lows and keep going. I’m quietly confident of having a smooth run if everything plays out my way.”
Foreman’s clubmates Tony Frost (modified bikes class) and Steve Griffin (LJ Torana class) will also hit the track at Portland on Saturday.
