Model trains and vintage rail motor roll into town for big weekend

Warrnambool Model Railway Club is on track to host its annual exhibition this weekend with 20 different layouts going on show.

The exhibition will be held at St Joseph’s Primary School hall between 10am and 5pm on Saturday, and 10am and 4pm on Sunday.

Miniature trains from Cobden will also be on display. Entry is adults $10, families $25, children $5 and concession $8.

Train enthusiasts will also have the chance to take a trip back in time on an historical Diesel Electric Rail Motor which will arrive at Warrnambool station on Saturday at 1.43pm. Shuttle services to the West Vic siding depart at 2pm, 2.30pm, 3pm and possibly 3.30pm and cost $15. Children under four are free.
