The Hawkesdale ace will fly out with the National Tennis Academy for a three-week tour of New Zealand on January 19 to play in three International Tennis Federation tournaments.
The announcement capped off a whirlwind period for the 15-year-old Warrnambool-trained Swarbrick after she made her ITF debut at Traralgon on Thursday.
Swarbrick said she was enjoying her rise.
“It is all happening within one month,” she said.
“I got a wildcard to Traralgon and now I am invited with the National Tennis Academy – I was like ‘whoa’. I am very lucky.”
Swarbrick was invited to the AGL Loy Yang Junior International as a wildcard. She fell in her qualifying match to French opponent Guilia Morlet 6-2, 6-2.
“It is a whole other level,” she said of her ITF circuit debut. “It is exciting to see all the different nationalities and the way things are run. It’s good to be a part of.
“I am only 15 and it is an 18 and under event so a lot of the players are 17 or 18 and a lot of them have experience because they have travelled around.”
Swarbrick said the three-week tour of New Zealand, which will include tournaments in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland, would be an eye-opener.
“I have no expectations but it would be nice to win a few matches over there to get a feel for it,” she said.
