Sail: The Warrnambool Yacht Club is hosting its annual New Years Social Regatta from January 2 to 5.

Dogs: Warrnambool Greyhound Racing Club is presenting a Circus Night as part of their annual seaside festival. Kids entertainment will include a jumping castle, sports games, mini hot rods, juggling and tightropes from 5.30pm.

Netball: The Beachfest program is featuring Netball Victoria Beach Netball at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm.

Film: Port Fairy Film Society are presenting their collection of summer movies at the Reardon Theatre. Tonight’s film is family classic ‘A Dog’s Purpose’.

Golf: The Rotary Club of Warrnambool East ‘Hole in One’ fundraiser runs from Boxing day to Australia day weekend at Viaduct Road from 10am to 6pm. Join the chance to win a car.

Rocks: Port Fairy and Peterborough will be home to Rock Pool Rambling from 6.30pm to 8pm as part of the Victorian Government’s Summer by the Sea program.

Friday, January 5

Fishing: Warrnambool Offshore and light game fishing is hosting its annual fishing competition at the Breakwater precinct from January 5 to 13.

Beachfest: Daktari Surf and Dive are hosting a snorkelling morning at Stingray Bay from 9am. Wetsuit and snorkel provided.

Sand: McGennans Beach will be home to Sand Sculpting workshops from 11am to 3pm as part of Beachfest.

Craft: Paint your Own Bag at Lake Pertobe as part of the Victorian Government’s Summer by the Sea program. Activities run from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.

Golf: The Rotary Club of Warrnambool East ‘Hole in One’ fundraiser runs from Boxing day to Australia day weekend at Viaduct Road from 10am to 6pm. Join the chance to win a car.

Discover: The Victorian Government’s Summer by the Sea program will include a Griffiths Island Discovery Walk from 11am to 12.30pm.

Volleyball: Beachfest activities will include Beach Volleyball at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm, followed by Snags on the Sand, beach barbecue from 12 noon.

Beachfest: Defy Fitness presents a Coastal Encounter for kids aged 7 to 16. Join the hike from Killarney Reserve to Thunder Point from 10am to 2pm.

Markets: The Summer Night Markets at Lake Pertobe is a weekly market featuring an array of live music, food stalls, gifts, clothing, fresh produce, toys and books from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.Tonight’s music Kayla Dwyer and Cooper Lower.

Movie: Beachfest is presenting the second of its Twilight Movies in the Park. The PG-rated drama Lion about an Indian boy adopted by an Australian family will screen from 8.30pm.

Fishing: Warrnambool Offshore and light game fishing is hosting its annual fishing competition at the Breakwater precinct from January 5 to 13.

History: Warrnambool Family History Group are hosting a 1.5 hour guided tour of the Warrnambool cemetery from 10am.

Yoga: Warrnambool Yoga Project is hosting a family yoga event on the Civic Green from 10am, or try Kimberley Erin Yoga at the Warrnambool Surf Club from 9am.

Street party: Warrnambool’s Rough Diamond cafe is presenting ‘Diamond Days 2018’. The family-friendly event will feature street food and live music from 3pm to 11pm each Sunday in January.
