The A-League's record goal-scorer, who joined Victory in 2014 after winning titles at Brisbane Roar, said it was the strength of his relationships at the club, particularly with head coach Kevin Muscat, that made it easy to decide to extend his deal.
"The trust I have with Kevin, the coaches and the club was a big reason why I decided to re-sign," he said.
"I enjoy the challenge of trying to be the best; the club wants to be the best, I want to be the best - I want to achieve more history with this club."
Muscat said Berisha's record spoke for itself. His contribution to the club over the past three -and-a-half seasons had been immense. Berisha came to Australia from Germany, where he had grown up. He was an immediate success at Brisbane, helping the Queenslanders to two titles, before shifting south to Victory.
