The sheep were sold online through AuctionsPlus and were one of the largest offerings from a single vendor handled by the company this year.
The unshorn merino wether lambs sold for between $98.50-$124 while the two-year-old merino ewes made from $191-$233.
Five year old merino ewes sold for between $184-$187.
Bidding came from all states but the successful buyers were all from Victoria.
Nareen Station owner Gordon Dickinson said the sale’s success reflected the consistency and quality of the sheep it had been producing during the past 20 years.
TB White & Sons agent Tom Madden said the sheep were very well presented and there was a shortage of merino sheep due to the shift in past years to composite breed sheep used primarily for lamb production.
