Described as a one-man party band, he has mastered multi-tasking, playing drums and guitar while projecting his voice forward using a helmet wired to a telephone receiver.
Bob Log III will play at The Loft on Saturday.
The Loft owner Lynny Mast said it is a much anticipated show.
"Bob has been here two or three times before," Mast said.
"He plays upbeat, bluesy music and is very popular, he always draws a big crowd in."
His reputation as a live performer with a difference has been built on playing shows all over the globe.
He has supported high-profile acts such as for R. L. Burnside, Blues Explosion and Franz Ferdinand.
Bog Log III was born in the Chicago and grew up in Tucson, Arizona.
He started playing at an early age, joining with friends to form a number of bands.
In the late 90s, he made the move to a solo act and quickly established himself as a live performer of note as well as being productive in the recording studio.
He released his debut album, School Bus, in 1998.
It was the first of eight albums, which included Hiram & Huddie Disc 1, a tribute to Hank Williams Snr.
Last year was a productive one for Bob Log III, with two albums, Guitar Party Power and Bump or Meow Vol 1.
Saturday’s show at The Loft will be Bob Log IIIs last show of the year.
He will play a gig in Carlton on January 5 before heading on a marathon 24-date tour of the UK and Ireland.
The support act on Saturday night will be Warrnambool band Lemonbait.
Tonight at The Loft, punk rock will take centre stage with a triple-header.
Kicking off the night will be Astrocrypt Hellsurfers, followed by Warrnambool band The SleeveHearts.
Headline act for the night is another Warrnambool band, The 2nds.
A five-piece outfit, The 2nds played suppport for Brisbane band Wartooth at The Loft a fortnight ago.
