Warrnambool Swimming Club’s Sebastian Christie-Crane has capped off a big Pacific School Games swimming carnival, coming away with a bronze medal and a national age championship qualifier.

Christie-Crane collected the bronze and the national qualifier in the same event, the 100m freestyle.
“I was pretty happy with the medal and the time, which was a 1.3 second personal best,” Christie-Crane said.
“The PB was a long time coming and it’s the reward for all the hard work I have put in recently.”
Christie-Crane kept very busy throughout the whole carnival, competing in five individual events and eight relays, where in the Pacific Games’ exclusive 10x50m relay he won another bronze medal.
“I was happy with my effort over the whole week,” he said.
“I managed to get PBs in almost all my events, made a few finals and managed to come away with two medals.”
Victorian coach Paul Aberline, who is also from Warrnambool, praised Christie-Crane on his efforts.
“Sebastian did fantastic getting on the team and then performed exceptionally well at the games to leave with two medals and a national qualifier,” he said.
