Their assault is headed by Rondalago and Aurora Rising - they run in restricted races at Warrnambool on Tuesday and Daffy is hoping for forward showings from both mares.
“I was really happy with Aurora Rising’s first-up run at Terang last week,” he said.
“She’s showed a lot of promise in her short career and the 1300 metres will suit at this stage of her campaign, but I think races over 1600 metres will be her long term goal.”
Rondalago showed a return to form with a second placing at her third run from a spell at Hamilton last month - Daffy said the six-year-old had improved from that outing.
“She’s just taken time to mature,” the veteran trainer said.
“I’ve been happy with her work since the Hamilton effort. It was a very good run last time. Her only win was over 1400 metres so the distance suits.”
Warrnambool Racing Club racecourse manager Daniel Lumsden said the running rail will be out seven metres for the eight race program. The first race is scheduled to start at 1.30pm.
