Margaret Sinnott received the John Ward Award from the School Library Association of Victoria after being nominated by her peers across the state.
Principal Peter Morgan said Ms Sinnott had helped make the learning resource centre an engaging and well-used space.
“There are spaces for students to view a documentary or a movie, to recharge their laptops, to study quietly or meet with teachers for assistance with homework and assessment,” he said.
“People make the greatest difference in schools… For us, Margaret makes a huge difference. She is a very worthy recipient."
This year the learning resource centre also received national recognition when it won a place of the list of Australia’s Great School Libraries, compiled by Freedom of Access to Information and Resources, Education HQ and Australian library associations.
