Terang Racing Club president Wayne Johnstone, who bred and races Dash For Cash with a group of friends was happy with her win over Detroit Rocks and Fox On The Run in the $22,000 mares maiden over 1200 metres.
“I’ve got to give a lot of credit to our trainer Symon Wilde,” Johnstone said.
“We were ready to run at Dunkeld a fortnight ago in a fillies and mares race but Symon said the mares race at Terang was a better option and he was right.
“Dash Of Pash may have another run or two then give her a break before Symon prepares her for a race at the Warrnambool May Carnival.”
Dash Of Pash ran fourth at her debut run in June before she was spelled.
“She needed time to fill out,” Johnstone said.
“She was a lightly framed but with time she’s developed and matured into a nice type of mare.
“We thought she would run well and she never let us down.”
