Poumako will take on the dual role and float between junior and senior sides as a part of her position.
Poumako has replaced Emma Cust at the helm.
WFNC netball president Jason Thwaites said the dual role would allow Poumako to guide the club’s development.
“Raewyn’s birds-eye view will involve implementing a major plan that will allow multiple pathways for player development between the junior and senior side of our club,” Thwaites said.
Thwaites and his committee believe her 20 years of coaching experience will help make the transition from junior to senior level significantly easier.
“We are excited by what she brings to the club, to the open and under 17s and also how she can make the transition between senior and juniors smoother,” he said.
Thwaites is hopeful of an improved on-court performance after finishing fourth last season.
