Harkness (103) and Clements (70) put on a 153-run second-wicket stand to guide Heytesbury Rebels to comfortable 190-run win over South West Cricket opponent Camperdown.
“They were pretty cool and calm and they looked like they were comfortable being there batting together,” Rosolin said.
“There are a few blokes who enjoy batting on turf and they are two of them, so it was good for them to get settled at the crease.”
The pair, along with Sam Newey (44) were pivotal in helping the Rebels post a commanding 6-262.
Chris Dendle took 3-21 as Heytesbury restricted Camperdown to 72 in reply.
A composed unbeaten stand between Brett Hunger (52) and Tim Keane (47) lifted Terang out of a percarious spot against Bookaar.
Terang was struggling at 6-34 chasing Bookaar’s 143 before the duo stepped up, pleasing first-year skipper Liam Geary.
“Brett and Tim steered us home. We thought we were done and those two dug in,” Geary said.
Mortlake was in a comfortable position against Pomborneit before rain washed out their fixture.
Shane Slater (62), Todd Lamont (49) and teenager Isaac Wareham (42) helped the Cats to 7-215 before the match was abandoned.
“It was our first score over 200 this year,” Lamont said.
Cobden made it six straight wins, including twenty20 fixtures, in accounting for Noorat with co-captain Angus Uwland top-scoring with an unbeaten 82 against Noorat.
Co-captain Johno Bennallack said the Knights were happy with their start to the season.
“We probably haven’t played the top two who we think are Mortlake and Heytesbury yet but we have batted out our 50 overs most weeks which is really promising and a few of our young kids are coming along well too,” he said.
