Warrnambool animal shelter attendant Sam Slattery said it had 16 cats it hoped would be adopted soon before the summer cat breeding season produced many homeless kittens.
Cat adoption fees have been reduced from $120 to just $39 until Sunday, November 26 at all RSPCA Victoria animal care centres and participating Petbarn stores as part of the “CatPacity” promotion.
Every cat has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and had veterinary checks. Kittens (under four months) will still cost the usual $195 during the CatPacity promotion.
