Outlaw Gallery’s Barry Tate and Scope Gallery’s Liza McCosh are exhibiting in the State’s capital hoping to keep their names etched in buyer’s minds.
“It’s good to get exposure in Melbourne,” McCosh said. “You have to leave the local scene to raise your profile if you want to survive in the arts world.”
While McCosh is hosting Liminal at Fortyfive Downstairs on Flinders Lane, Tate is flaunting This is Colony at Fox Galleries, Collingwood.
Neither is a stranger to seeing their work within gallery walls, with a combined 60 years exhibiting experience between them.
For master ceramicist Tate, this exhibition features his talents on a large scale with several earthenware sculptures reaching over six foot in height.
McCosh’s mainly blue-green pieces represent the environment, with inspiration taken from the south-west coastline.
