Chris Chapman, 31, of Hood Street, went to the Warrnambool police station to sign in as part of his bail conditions on Friday afternoon.
He was arrested for breaching his bail after allegedly failing to be at home during his overnight curfew hours.
Officers at the police station noticed Mr Chapman was fiddling with his underwear.
A search was conducted and he was found in possession of a small amount of ice.
Mr Chapman was taken across to the Warrnambool Magistrates Court late Friday afternoon where he was remanded in custody to appear at court on Tuesday.
He is already on a range of charges including escape from custody after an incident during which Mr Chapman claims to have fallen out the back of a divisional van.
Police have a far different version and it's expected that security camera footage will be crucial in relation to those charges.
