Townsend called for “more of the same” after the Bulls steamrolled Camperdown with a imposing bowling performance on Saturday.
Five wickets to star seamer Brad Hillman and a four-wicket haul to Stephen Walters meant Camperdown could manage just 51 runs from 21 overs.
“We spoke about the need to step up and to play like a finals team,” Townsend said.
“We need to keep playing the way we did on Saturday. We need to be able to make sure we can get these wins.”
We just want to force the batsman to make mistakes.

Pomborneit is locked in fifth after three one-day rounds.
Townsend hailed his bowlers for their efforts and said a heart-to-heart a fortnight ago was the catalyst for their form.
“We hadn’t been bowling all that well. Two or three weeks ago, we made it a real focus to make sure we just bowl line and length well,” he said.
“We just want to force the batsman to make mistakes. We’ve done it well.”
Elsewhere, Cobden toppled Terang by 45 runs. Spinner Jackson Rock top scored with 47.
Bookaar stunned reigning premier Mortlake by 78 runs, while Heytesbury Rebels also defeated Noorat.
