The Warrnambool Mountain Bike Club’s enduro race, which did not run in 2016, will return with a dirt master junior race at 9.30am, followed by the main event at 11am.
Race organiser Peter Furphy said conditions were looking perfect for the Sunday’s event.
“That rain we had early in the week, it’s just perfect,” he said. “The track is looking at its best at the moment.
“All the facilities are well looked after now, we’ve also got the showers working in the club rooms.
“We’ve got low wins and we’ve got cool temperatures, so it’s perfect for riding and it’s perfect for spectators.”
The main event caters for riders 13 and over, and can be tackled as an individual or team. The dirt master junior race, which runs from 9.30-10.15am, is for riders aged 6-12.
“That’s available for the less confident young riders,” Furphy said. “All they need is an MTBA licence number and they can register on the day and ride on a modified, easy course. Can can ride with them if required.”
The event will also feature live music by Gabby Steel, while a coffee van will also be on hand.
Online registrations close on Friday night and can completed at http://wmtbc.com.au/tp180/. For further enquiries about the event or registration, contact Peter Furphy on 0488 414 717.
