The meeting of the Victorian Diagnostic Audiology Group will involve diagnostic audiologists from the Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, the Alfred Hospital and regional areas such as Warrnmabool, Albury and Shepparton.
South-west audiologist Tim Rayner, who will host the conference, said the conference focus would be on conductive hearing loss in children.
Conductive hearing occurs when there is a problem conducting sound waves through to the middle ear.
Guest speakers will also cover NDIS issues and the Victorian Infant Screening Program that diagnoses newborn infants with hearing impairment.
