POLICE have described the circumstances around the death of a man in Hamilton as ‘tragic’.

Detective Sergeant Mark James, from Hamilton police criminal investigation unit, said the body was discovered this morning.
“A deceased male was found in a public toilet,” Detective Sergeant James said.
“There is no suspicious circumstances at this stage.”
He said police were investigating, on behalf of the coroner.
“The public toilets are located off Lonsdale Street, in Hamilton,” Detective Sergeant James said.
“It’s very tragic circumstances.”
He asked for any witnesses to contact Hamilton CIU or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
“We would be interested in hearing from anyone we haven’t already spoken to,” Detective Sergeant James said.
