Apart from the fitness it’s a terrific social thing to do.
- Victoria Dunn
Julie Miller, Donna Koik, Janet Goodall and Victoria Dunn will join with seven Geelong women to form a team.
Dunn said the group would be participating in the women's 10s and open events.
“We will be at Lake Barrington, near Sheffield,” she said.
“We will stay there and drive down to the lake each day.”
The group heads to Tasmania on Tuesday.
“We have a practise on the lake on Wednesday,” Dunn said.
“We have six races over two days.”
The South C Dragons meet every Saturday morning for a practice row on the Hopkins River.
“Apart from the fitness it’s a terrific social thing to do,” Dunn said.
“We have a great bond. Having fun is everybody’s motto.
“When we travel to other places we catch up with other competitors who are our friends.”
Dragon boat racing is one of Australia’s fastest growing sports.
