The Spartan MMA member needed just four-and-a-half minutes in the first round against Karin Kamara to win by technical knockout.
“We had a look at a couple of his videos and figured out the leg was the goal there (to focus on),” Dart said. “We stuck to the plan and it seemed to work.”
After a standing start to the fight, Kamara took Dart down and after a scramble, Dart tried to get on top.
When they got back to their feet, Dart could see his opponent struggling and kept the pressure on.
The fighters tumbled again and Dart asserted his dominance, scoring his second professional win.
Spartan MMA coach David Gibb labelled Dart’s effort a “really dominant performance”.
“The fight didn’t get out of the first round,” Gibb said.
“(Kamara) couldn’t handle Lachlan’s pressure. He had superior fitness and technique. After about two minutes, there was just a sense of fatigue from the other guy and Lachie eventually got on top and won TKO.”
To get a match at all was a relief for Dart, who has had a few match-ups fall through this season. He said his fighting was likely done for the year, and he will now turn his sights to 2018, when he hopes to get four matches in.
“I just want to thank Chris Philps for helping me get through have have this fight, and also Tra-ill Dowie and David Gibb and everyone at Spartan MMA,” Dart said.
