Premier Daniel Andrews and Regional Development Minister Jaala Pulford were among the politicians who met with the region’s representatives, developing a vision for the year ahead.
South-west students made their mark on the evening by voicing their hopes for the future, citing issues such as renewable energy, improving Portland’s port and better transport. They even requested a selfie with the premier, which he obliged.
Great South Coast Partnership chairwoman Emily Lee-Ack encouraged attendees to be “mindful of our past, thoughtful about our future and well and truly ready to unleash our potential”.
