There will be plenty of family-friendly fun on offer in Camperdown this weekend for the town’s annual show.

Convener Amanda Manifold said old favourites and new highlights would help make Saturday’s show one to remember.

“We are looking forward to another great day,” she said.

George the Farmer, a larger than life character, will take to the stage and help youngsters understand where their food comes from.

There will also be a working dog demonstration and the popular dog jump and pet parade will return.

“People can also try their hand at making some damper and the beaut ute competition will be back with a lot of great entries,” Ms Manifold said.

“There will also be a full day of entertainment on the stage with local bands and musicians.”

A 15-year-old whip-cracking expert will entertain crowds over lunch and the show personality event will be on again.

Animal entries are up across the board, with 2017 shaping up as a record year for poultry. The horse section will again run over Saturday and Sunday.

Ms Manifold encouraged the community to come along and show their support for the event.

“We would love people to come down and enjoy a family day out at our beautiful grounds that are looking spectacular,” she said. “The committee has done a great job.”
