President Chrissy Hawker on Tuesday tendered her resignation from the post and all league affairs.
The league’s executive acted swiftly to implement interim positions, with former vice president Bob Chandler stepping into the top job.
Vanessa Slattery has moved into Chandler’s role as vice president, and Mark Brown is set to undertake the position of junior vice president.
Chandler thanked Hawker for her service to the league.
“Chrissy has made a huge impact on the South West District Football Netball League and committed a great deal of time over many years,” he said.
“We thank Chrissy for her years of dedicated service to the South West league and we wish her all the best for the future.”
Chandler said the executive was excited by the future prospects of the league, which includes teams primarily from both the Glenelg and Southern Grampians shires.
