The club is catering for less experienced junior riders at its flagship event, offering a shorter race dubbed the ‘Dirtmasters’ event.
Club member Jane Wade said the family-friendly event sought to cater for riders of all-abilities.
“What we’re really looking to achieve after a couple of years of looking to get the correct permits in place to maintain the track and keep them safe is to rebuild our junior program,” Wade said.
“There’s a real focus on getting juniors into the club. We’ve recently announced our skills program is recommencing.
“When I was first involved with the club we would get 25 to 30 children of all ages come along for those and they were a fun introduction to mountain biking.”
Wade hoped families would participate in the TP180. It is set to run on November 5. Junior races will begin at 9.30am, while the adult races start at 11am.
