A piece by Richard Jones – Melbourne Rainy Day – was declared the people’s choice award winner on Sunday.
It followed Jones winning the top judge’s award on Friday night with his piece White Cliffs of Opal Mining.
More than 500 people took the opportunity to view the City of Warrnambool Art Show, with organisers delighted by the response.
The art show, which has been run by the Rotary Club of Warrnambool East for the past 25 years, raised $5000 for the autism support group ICAN Network.
Of the 330 artworks on display, about 50 pieces were sold, with a total value of close to $22,000.
Other winners included Warrnambool’s Wilma Williams, who won best local artist, while Ted Rowbottom won best local scene.
Organising committee member Roger Cussen said it was “one of the most successful shows” the club had run.
