TWO south-west batsmen are making their mark on the national stage, posting head-turning scores to bolster Victoria Country’s position at the Cricket Australia Under 17 National Championships in Queensland. Woodford export Tommy Jackson (75 runs) and Dunkeld’s Lachie Field (30) helped Victoria Country to a score of 9-309 at stumps against Northern Territory on Thursday. Jackson is averaging 42 runs after three innings’, while Field’s is 43.
