Van Someren Equestrian Vaulting will be one of 22 Australian teams at the titles, which run from September 28 to October 1.
Emerging vaulters Montaya Young, Dixie Boekhout, Jasmin Trewick and Jade King will represent the south-west club.
All four will contest the preliminary individual class and the Pas De Deux (pairs) event.
A number of overseas vaulters will participate in the international CVI competition run in conjunction with the national event.
Van Someren vaulting hosted an all-inclusive local vaulting competition in July with 38 Victoria vaulters participating as a lead up to the nationals.
The south-west club has been busy fundraising with barbecue, raffles and a movie event to support the its national contenders.
“The team has hired a horse from New South Wales for the event which adds to the pressure as the girls will compete on an unfamiliar horse,” coach Sharyn Van Someren said.
“It has been a very busy leadup with the girls all choregraphing their own gymnastic based routines and cutting music to suit.”
Van Someren’s vaulting horse, Harrington Hearts, is lame and will be not be attending which forced the change in horse for the national championships.
Harrington Hearts took out the best newcomer horse at the 2016 championships.
The vaulting national titles are in their 21st year.
